<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Menopause Unveiled: Facts, Figures &amp; Empowering Insights. What I Learned After The Season. - What Are The Numbers: How Many Women Are Impacted? Let’s take a brief pause here for perspective: As of 2025, an estimated 1.1 billion women worldwide are either menopausal or postmenopausal. Taken from the International Menopause Directory. So for my numbers women out there, yes, that is over 13% of the entire Worlds Population! In the U.S. alone, about 1.3 million women enter menopause every year. Women over 50 now make up more than a quarter of the female population globally. Why do these numbers matter? Let me tell you why they mattered to me. Although the numbers were different during my season, this reminded me, as I am reminding you, that if you are experiencing menopause, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. Far from it.</image:title>

<image:caption>Managing Menopause: What Helps? Here’s where things get hopeful. As Stated Above, Hormone Therapy (HT) is still considered the most effective treatment for hot flashes, night sweats, and vaginal dryness. Unfortunately, fewer than 5% of eligible women use it today, often because of outdated fears. Lifestyle approaches—such as balanced nutrition, strength training, sleep routines, and stress management—play a huge role. Some doctors are now recommending not just exercise, but specific types—like strength training for bone health and moderate cardio over endless high-intensity workouts. One woman shared how joining a gentle yoga class gave her relief from insomnia. Another found that cutting back on caffeine made her hot flashes less intense. Small steps add up.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Menopause Unveiled: Facts, Figures &amp; Empowering Insights. What I Learned After The Season. - Did You Know? The Workplace & Social Impact Menopause isn’t just personal—it’s societal. In the UK, menopause accounts for 14 million lost working days each year, with nearly 900,000 women leaving jobs because of unmanaged symptoms. In the U.S., studies suggest it costs around $1.8 billion in lost productivity annually. On the personal side, a UK survey in 2025 found 73% of women linked their menopause journey to struggles in their marriage, sometimes even divorce. This isn’t a “woman’s issue.” It’s a human issue that touches families, businesses, and communities.</image:title>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - From Surviving to Scheduling: Practical Planning After the Storm - Step 2: Revisit Your Purpose and Priorities</image:title>
<image:caption>Before I picked up my planner or opened a scheduling app, I sat down and prayed, “Lord, show me what really matters right now.” After the stressful season we’re coming out of, I had to remember why I do what I do. I have clients to coach, people who need me, and a mission that still matters. But instead of defaulting back to my old patterns, I asked: What are the non-negotiables in this season? What can wait? What needs to be delegated or released?</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - From Surviving to Scheduling: Practical Planning After the Storm - ️ Step 4: Use Tools That Support (Not Stress) You out</image:title>
<image:caption>If planning overwhelms you, start simple. Here’s a few simple suggestions to use: A basic weekly planner (paper works great for me) Color-coded blocks for coaching, admin, rest Gentle reminders on my phone—no alarms blaring Small tweaks. Big difference.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - From Surviving to Scheduling: Practical Planning After the Storm - Step 1: Give Yourself Permission to Begin Slowly</image:title>
<image:caption>After everything you’ve carried, diving back into a “hustle” mindset can actually set you back. This is actually one of the quickest ways to set yourself up for burnout. The first thing I had to do was silence the emotional carry-over from the season we had just come through, and guilt about not moving fast enough out of the testing. I did this by reminding myself: rest is productive. Planning doesn’t require frenzy—it requires clarity.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - From Surviving to Scheduling: Practical Planning After the Storm - Step 3: Create a Schedule That Honors Your Healing</image:title>
<image:caption>I used to pack my calendar just to feel productive. Not anymore. This time, I planned differently: ✅ Built-in breaks ✅ Morning devotionals, or prayer, even a quick walk before calls ✅ Set boundaries around work hours ✅ Protected time for rest and relationships This new schedule became a form of self-care, not just time management. This time I’m breaking free of toxic productivity. And guess what? I’m more productive than ever—because I’m not running on fumes.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Turning Fear Into Faith: How I Navigated a Season of Unexpected Stress… - When the Unexpected Happens</image:title>
<image:caption>In the beginning, I was shocked. I could not believe what was happening. It was as if time stood still and my mind struggled to process the reality in front of me. “Why would someone target my family with such hatred?” My thoughts raced. I allowed myself to digest the seriousness of the matter - “we are being threatened!” But after careful thought and prayer, I realized it was important to take things seriously and not brush anything aside. We immediately outlined the steps we needed to take and followed through, one by one. One of the very first things I did was reach out to my prayer partners. I asked them to stand with me in prayer, committing the entire situation to God. There is a special strength that comes from knowing others are lifting you up in prayer, especially when your own faith feels shaky. My family was shaken, our sense of security shattered. A very direct message had been delivered. Was this a mistake? Wrong people? Shaken! I was every bit the praying woman I confess to be, yet this was a time that my community of support was going to be depended on in order to allow me thinking space to hear from God clearly in this moment.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Turning Fear Into Faith: How I Navigated a Season of Unexpected Stress…</image:title>
<image:caption>Processing Emotions and Choosing Where to Focus This season brought a whirlwind of emotions—fear, restlessness, confusion, and even anger. I had to remind myself daily that God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind. We placed everything at the altar of God, choosing to walk by faith and rebuke fear, even when it tried to sneak back in. The choice was challenging, but the choice was still present, and mine to decide. No matter the intensity of a challenge, we are most often given choices: 1. What to give all of our focus to and 2. Where to place our trust, in self or the precious hands of our loving Savior? If you’re walking through your own storm right now, here are a few things that helped me, and I believe they can help you too: 1. Acknowledge Your Feelings: Don’t ignore how you feel. Name your emotions and bring them to God in prayer. 2. Reach Out for Support: Don’t try to handle everything alone. Lean on trusted friends, prayer partners, or mentors. This includes seeking help from those in law enforcement or legal professionals if needed. 3. Take Practical Action: Do what you need to do to protect your well-being, whether that’s taking a break, changing your environment, or seeking professional help. 4. Prioritize Your Faith: Keep your focus on Jesus Christ. Pray, read scripture, and remind yourself of God’s promises. 5. Guard Your Attention: Don’t let fear dominate your thoughts. Choose to focus on what is true, noble, and praiseworthy.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Turning Fear Into Faith: How I Navigated a Season of Unexpected Stress… - Faith and Action Go Hand in Hand</image:title>
<image:caption>As a Christian, I recognized that what we were facing was not just a physical challenge, but also a spiritual one. There was a holy anger that rose up in me—a refusal to let fear and confusion have the final say. I knew the enemy’s mission is always to steal, kill, and destroy, but I also knew that God’s power is greater. Of course my family and I reached out to the proper authorities, taking full advantage of every tool that God has set in place for times such as this. We also sought counsel from our spiritual mentors, people who could offer wisdom and perspective that we needed in that moment. Their guidance was invaluable and reminded us that we were not alone in this battle.</image:caption>

<image:caption>How to lean in: Join (or start) a small group. Share prayer requests with trusted friends. Make room for vulnerability—it invites healing. Encourage others, even when you feel low. Service is always a medicine that heals when done for the right reasons.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Soul &amp; Sanity: A Christian’s Guide to Real Self-Care. </span> - “Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” – Exodus 20:8</image:title>
<image:caption>“Remember the Sabbath day by keeping it holy.” – Exodus 20:8 Rest isn’t laziness. It’s obedience. God literally created rest as part of the rhythm of life. If He took a break (I know He didn’t need rest. I’m not here to preach), so should we. Sabbath isn't just about church—it’s about ceasing from hustle, unplugging from stress, and recharging spiritually. This emphasizes balance in your life; prevents burnout, increases gratitude and awareness of the little things the daily grind may cause us to overlook. It was literally created for and given to us from God. Make Sabbath practical: Choose your day. Set a boundary around your day of rest. Avoid errands, work emails, or unnecessary to-dos. Do what gives you life—nap, worship, be with loved ones, sit in silence.</image:caption>

<image:title>Focus Forward Blog - Soul &amp; Sanity: A Christian’s Guide to Real Self-Care. </span> - “Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit...?” – 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Your body is God’s home. That means caring for it—getting sleep, eating real food, moving it regularly—isn’t optional. It’s sacred. It’s not about fitness goals or appearances; it’s about honoring the vessel God gave you so you can live, serve, and thrive. Effectiveness. Clarity. Healing. Begins with YOU!</image:title>
<image:caption>What this looks like: Prioritize rest (you’re not a machine). I’ll save you the science behind it all for our sessions. For now these are nuggets I want you to carry. Feed your body with nourishing food. One cheat day is okay. But cheat moments every few hours is not. Your output is based majority on your input. Now - Tell the Barista that he should kindly put back the mixed berry scone. Get moving—walk, dance, stretch, whatever works for you. Do it! Not going to give you a timeframe. I’m suggesting you pick something that makes you move and gets your heart pumping. Do it till you can’t. Do it consistently. But do it! This is the key to all (yes ALL) diets, workouts, and practices. Consistency. Just figure a spot into your daily routine, move and repeat. The desire for more movement will build, the change will come. Say no to things (and people) that physically drain you. Say it with me: Bound-a-ries! Yes, one of our favorite words. Now set them. Enforce them. Show yourself that you value yourself.</image:caption>
